La Princesse - a giant mechanical spider


The giant mechanical spider that has been roaming Liverpool’s streets since Friday 5th Sept has returned to what scientists believe to be her nest – on the side of Concourse Tower. Having explored the city yesterday afternoon she came to her resting place on the Tower.

Definition of the "Creative Industries"

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES - The definition of the creative industries as: “those industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property.”
This includes the following sectors: Advertising, Architecture, Crafts, Design, Designer Fashion, Film and Video, Interactive Leisure Software, Music, Performing Arts, Publishing,Television and Radio and in addition the cultural heritage, tourism and museum industries are identified as being closely related to the creative industries; particularly in the provision of services which often fall within the definition of creative industries.

Roy Jones - introduction



Roy Jones MFA – He has extensive experience within education and business. Former Acting Principal of Southport College of Art and Assistant Development Director at St Helens College. Recently has worked as a business advisor with John Moors University, the British Council and the Arts Council of England. He has also worked on international projects in Europe, the Middle East and SW Asia. Roy is also SFEDI accredited.
